Jess was nervous/excited about her first day back to school from Christmas break. But she sure looked cute in her new Christmas sweater and new birthday scarf! Plus, she knew that she was going to be on the school's closed circuit tv for morning announcements - so the whole school will know that today is her birthday! Yay!!
Opening gifts and having breakfast in bed were lots of fun! I think she's been counting down for this morning for weeks now. :) And since it was a school/workday - we all had to wake up extra early to celebrate. (actually, I think Don slept standing up through most of our little party....he's just not a morning person!)
Joshy knew how to help right away. In fact, we had a difficult time explaining to him that it was Jessa's birthday - not Christmas and not his birthday again. He wanted to run downstairs to find the Christmas tree and gifts when we said it was time for Jessa to open her presents. But Jess was very understanding and let him help her with the unwrapping!
