We woke the birthday boy early and brought him the traditional breakfast in bed. This kid, who is famous for needing an hour to wake up, jumps out of bed with a smile and says that he's ready to open his presents.
Now in all fairness, Josh had been looking at his birthday gifts wrapped up under the tree for a few days.... so he's had plenty of waiting.
The night before his birthday we let him carry his gifts to his room and he stacked them carefully by his Hot Wheels table. He must have laid in bed deciding which one to open first because he was very organized when it came to getting things done.
Josh's Birthday Cake - he requested chocolate with white frosting and chocolate chips.
He let Case help him lick off the cars after blowing out the candles.
It's still all about the trains.
Serious business happening here people. This is not playing. This is work. This is creating and designing and building and destroying and rebuilding and driving and loading and making stuff work.
Why? Because: "Trains are just super-cool". (And that's a direct quote from Josh if anyone was wondering)
