Family Work Weekend

Because it's spring now and the snow has almost all melted away......... and because there is so much to do.............. we had an overnight/campout/workday at the cabin.

We got in late but the kids still had to pull out all the "cabin toys" and get reaquainted.

However, bedtime didn't go so well ........................ my kids don't travel well. It was midnight before Zachy decided to sleep. He didn't cry the whole time though. Mostly he was just talking "smack" and trying to get us to respond. LOL That's the problem with having the playpen right next to the bed. Oh well......

There was a bit of bedtime attitude from big brother too! But he finally settled in and snuggled down with Mr. Leopard. Does anybody care that Joshy snores??? Well, he does. And very loudly, I might add. Ahhh, just like his daddy.

But the next day we all got down to business and worked on our chores. Nothing wrong with a bit of child labor, right? Needless to point out, Zachers was into everything.

Uncle Garrett came up the hill to join us in time for a bbq lunch and he saved us a whole bunch of hard labor by bringing up the new chainsaw!

Of course, some of us prefer to go old school. Just because we still can........

We didn't get a lot of fresh mountain air - everyone was burning. But I think the smell of pine needles is rather nice in it's own right....

Jessa was the happiest of all..................she got to bring her friend, **M**, along for the fun! Those girls had the greatest time just hanging out and playing in the woods and then of course, milkshakes at the general store!

They were exceptionally good to the little brothers too. (And the boys adore **M** and were constantly trying to get her attention.)
